Embassy of Sweden

The Embassy of Sweden building House of Sweden is located right in the heart of Georgetown, on the shores of the Potomac River. Designed by architects Gert Wingårdh and Tomas Hansen, House of Sweden is a physical representation of Swedish values such as openness, transparency and democracy - the flagship of Swedish public diplomacy in the United States. House of Sweden houses not only the Embassy of Sweden but also the Embassy of Iceland and office suites as well as an Event Center that features conference and exhibition halls.

In conjunction with the opening of House of Sweden in 2006, Embassy of Sweden launched an ambitious public diplomacy program. Since then, the Embassy has promoted Sweden in the areas of politics, culture, trade and research through seminars, workshops, exhibitions, music and art.

Embassy of Sweden in Washington, D.C. is one of Sweden's largest Embassies abroad and the official link betweenSweden and America.
