Panel Discussion - Our Walls Bear Witness: Crisis in Central African Republic
Since 2012, a number of armed factions have attacked civilians based on their religious identity, killing untold thousands and displacing hundreds of thousands more. To raise public awareness of the ongoing crisis in Central African Republic (CAR), where group-targeted violence poses a severe threat to civilians, the Museum will convene an expert panel to discuss what is driving the conflict and what can be done to end it.
This program is held in conjunction with FotoWeek DC 2014. From Nov. 10 through Nov. 13, Museum will project on its exterior walls building-sized images taken by prizewinning photographer Michael Christopher Brown of the dire situation in CAR. Learn more.
The program is made possible by the Helena Rubinstein Foundation.
