FotoTalks: Joshua Yospyn's American Sequitur
Josh is a freelance portrait and editorial photographer based in Washington, D.C. His solo exhibition, "American Sequitur," is on display at the Artisphere in Rosslyn, Virginia through November 15th. The project is a whimsical take on American culture and pride in a post-9/11 world. Also in 2014, Josh was sent to Jordan by the U.S. Department of State to teach photography around the country, plus he attended multimedia workshops at the Salt Institute for Documentary Studies in Maine and the Mountain Workshops in Kentucky. Josh frequently shoots assignments for The Washington Post, nonprofits and commercial organizations around town, and used to contract with TBD.com and ABC7/WJLA-TV, where he had the odd and confusing distinction of being a still photographer for a TV station.
