She is a skilled mountain climber. He is an accomplished cave explorer. Together they are harnessing new technology to defy borders and redefine the meaning of community. Join National Geographic adventurers and photographers Becca Skinner and Robbie Shone as they share how social media is helping them show you some of the world’s hidden wild spaces.

With a background in social work, Becca uses her photography to give a voice to those who feel they cannot be heard. As a National Geographic Young Explorer grantee, she traveled to Banda Aceh, Indonesia, to document how the local community had rebuilt itself seven years after the 2004 tsunami.

Focusing on cave photography, Robbie routinely travels to the remotest places on Earth—including isolated locations in Borneo, Papua New Guinea, Sudan, and Crete—to shine a light on a world few have ever seen.
