New World Voyage is an ambitious music/photography hybrid project by award-winning DC photographer Bill Crandall, who records and performs music under the name Místochord.

The 2016 music LP, an atmospheric mix of psychedelia, electronica, indie folk, and guitar pop influences, imagines the first humans to leave Earth forever to colonize another planet. The album is accompanied by a set of Crandall’s photographs and other images that further evoke their poignant journey. The combined overall effect is an immersive experience that avoids space cliches and focuses on the human element. Ultimately it is a story of Earth.

This special performance, featuring Místochord music collaborators Sean Winters and Troy Pryor, serves as a live score to an exclusive, extended video projection of New World Voyage imagery.
