[Forward Focus]

  • 3222 M Street Northwest Washington, DC, 20007 United States (map)

[Forward Focus] is an exhibit of youth photography and writing documenting the experiences and social justice campaigns of black and brown youth in D.C.. The photos were taken as part of programs offered by Critical Exposure, a local nonprofit that's creating a new generation of civic leaders who have: (1) the experience to know what needs to be fixed; (2) the skills to tell their stories; (3) the creativity to imagine new solutions to old problems; and (4) the tools to hold public officials accountable to their demands.  The photos are divided into three sections which represent Critical Exposure's three core goals: "Individual Power and Agency," "Changing the Narrative," and "Educational Justice Campaigns".
