Pulitzer Center

In its 10-year history the Pulitzer Center has sought to shine light on issues that are often ignored. We support in-depth engagement with underreported global affairs through our sponsorship of quality international journalism across all media platforms and an innovative program of outreach and education.

The Center commissions over 100 projects each year, providing nearly $1.5 million in direct support of journalists and placing the work with outlets ranging from The New York Times and PBS NewsHour to The New Yorker, NPR, and many more. We organize nearly 500 events each year for public, school and college audiences.

We look for the widest reach possible in the reporting we support and then work for sustained engagement, through online data interactives and e-books as well as live presentations, documentaries, and photography exhibits.
